FILLING INSTRUCTIONS – Some lighter manufacturers used different sized filling valves in their lighters. Visual examination should enable you to establish which adaptor/shape is required. Choose the appropriate adaptor if one is required and place over valve stem. Hold the can firmly near the top and invert and press the valve stem (with adaptor) into the lighter’s filling recess. Escaping gas indicates – wrong adaptor, can and lighter not in alignment or lighter tank full. Always check lighter instructions.

Most modern blow torches for the kitchen fill direct from the valve stem as do BBQ lighters, Soldering Irons and other butane powered domestic products.
